All electricians in the state of Alaska are required to complete continuing education in order to renew their electrical license. JADE Learning provides all the courses necessary to meet the requirements for an Alaska electrical license renewal.

How to Renew Your Alaska Electrician License

Renewing an electrician’s license in Alaska requires meeting each of the following:

  • Alaska Administrator electricians:
  • Complete 8 hours of Alaska electrical continuing education related to either the National Electrical Code or National Electrical Safety Code.
  • The renewal deadline is every odd year on December 31st.
  • Alaska Journeyman electricians:
  • Complete 16 hours of Alaska electrical Journeyman continuing education. 8 of these hours must be related to the National Electrical Code (NEC for JY).
  • The renewal deadline is every two years on the anniversary of the license issue date.

The renewal deadline for all electricians in Alaska is every 2 years.
