How to Renew Your Alaska Electrician License
Renewing an electrician’s license in Alaska requires meeting each of the following:
- Alaska Administrator electricians:
- Complete 8 hours of Alaska electrical continuing education related to either the National Electrical Code or National Electrical Safety Code.
- The renewal deadline is every odd year on December 31st.
- Alaska Journeyman electricians:
- Complete 16 hours of Alaska electrical Journeyman continuing education. 8 of these hours must be related to the National Electrical Code (NEC for JY).
- The renewal deadline is every two years on the anniversary of the license issue date.
The renewal deadline for all electricians in Alaska is every 2 years.
