How to Renew Your Electrical License in Oregon
Electricians in the state of Oregon must complete different requirements according to their licensing type in order to renew their electrical license.
- Journeyman (J), General Supervising Electricians (S), and Limited Supervising Electricians (PS) must complete 24 hours of continuing education.
- Limited Residential Electricians (LR) and Limited JY Manufacturing Plant (PJ) must complete 16 hours of continuing education.
- Limited Energy Technician Class A (LEA), Limited Energy Technician Class B (LEB), Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) must complete 8 hours of continuing education.
- Limited Renewable Energy Technician (LRT) and Limited Journeyman Sign Electrician (SIG) must complete 4 hours of continuing education.
The renewal deadline is October 1st. The year is staggered based on your license type.
