Step 1: Know Your License Renewal Requirements

Electricians in Colorado must renew their license every 3 years. The current renewal cycle ends on September 30, 2020. 

In order to renew, electricians must complete 24 hours of continuing education every 3 years. At least 4 of those hours must be related to NEC changes and no more than 4 hours may be related to safety.
