How to Renew Your Maryland Water/Wastewater Certification
Maryland Water Operators must complete 7-45 continuing education hours every three years in order to renew their license, depending on license type.
- See Table 8 here for continuing education requirements for your specific license type.
- At least 50% of all hours must be process related (except for Water Class 1, Water Class 2, Water Class G, Water Distribution, and Wastewater Collection licenses).
- The deadline for license renewal is every three years on your license expiration date.
