A wastewater operator is an person who, through observation, interpretation, or decision, operates a wastewater facility or a segment of a system or facility. The state of Delaware issues four different levels of wastewater operator license: Level I, Level II, Level III, and Level IV.

How to Renew Your Delaware Wastewater Operator License
Delaware Wastewater Operators are required to complete 20 continuing education hours for renewal every two years.
- License Renewal Deadline: By the expiration date every two years
- 10 hrs minimum required to be directly related to Wastewater Treatment Facility operations or maintenance
