Once you have obtained a California Drinking Water Certification, you must renew it every three years. To renew your California SWRCB license, you must pay the renewal fee and provide proof that you completed the required number of continuing education hours during your renewal period.

How to Renew Your California SWRCB License
You must complete between 12 and 36 hours of continuing education every three years in order to renew a California SWRCB license. The number of hours required depends on the grade of certificate held. JADE Learning’s online courses allow you to meet those requirements. The number of hours required to renew are as follows:
- Grade D1 = 12 Hours
- Grade D2 = 16 Hours
- Grade D3 = 24 Hours
- Grade D4 = 36 Hours
- Grade D5 = 36 Hours
- Renewal Deadline: License expiration date
Operators may submit safety training for up to 25% of the required hours.
