A certified operator is an individual who holds a current certificate issued by ADEQ in the field of water or wastewater treatment, water distribution, or wastewater collection. All water and wastewater facilities require an operator in direct charge who is certified for the class of the facility. Arizona Water Operators are required to complete 30 professional development hours for renewal. JADE Learning’s online courses enable you to meet those requirements.

How to Renew Your Arizona Water License
Arizona Water Operators are required to complete 30 professional development hours for renewal, including at least 10 PDHs on the specific job functions of the operator.
- 30 hours every 3 years
- Renewal deadline: depends on license expiration date
