Learn More About Washington Wastewater License Continuing Education
Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) serve an essential function to protect public health and the environment, including Washington's rivers, lakes, streams, and Puget Sound. The Department of Ecology certifies operators to help ensure that they are knowledgeable and that wastewater treatment plants are properly operated and maintained. We certify operators based on wastewater operating experience and education. We have four levels of full certification. The requirements and allowable substitutions for each level are listed in the rule (WAC 173-230-250). Each level also requires passing an exam.
Our continuing education courses are taught by electrical and water operator experts with decades of experience.
Approved by the Department of Ecology and a trusted provider of online training since 2005.
